RC has been kinda quiet lately though xAx so this might be tough...

Maybe we could do some kind of event to bring more life to the ytchorus' RC. Like a karaoke party! If we hold it on a  Saturday and a Sunday on Japan's timezone all day long, it will still be weekend for everyone in the world (correct me if I'm wrong), so that it will be easier for anyone to join. We can give the party a theme like "Movies' Sountracks" or "Your Country's Pop Songs", and I'm sure everybody will know a lot of new and cool songs related to the theme. We could have a Badge for the participants too =) I can't know for sure how many people would participate, though. Sorry for the brainstorming, I don't even know if that's the right place for that x.x

That doesn't sound like a very good idea, to base it on Japan's timezone; from EST -5:00, JP is 13-14 hours ahead. So 5pm in Japan would be 3am in EST (and midnight in PST.. it would be worse towards the east coast and in Europe). All day long would kind of render the timezone thing useless anyways. If you wanted to really base it on a central timezone, then it would probably be better to go with UTC +1/+2 rather than something that is pretty much a whole day ahead of half of the western hemisphere.

Oh, I see! I think I based it too much on my country's timezone ^^  Saturday 8 p.m. Japan would be Saturday 8a.m here, and then I thought that for any country to the east of mine and to the west of Japan it would be something between that.

I believe Friday nights and weekends tend to be the themed parties. Since there is a timezone issue, I don't really want to have a specific event for a specific time. I'd rather do badges that anyone can get any time by doing certain things. There is already the Train badge and the Spice badge, so for now, don't want to add any other badges.

If you guys have any other ideas for that kind of badge though, feel free to shoot. ^^

I was actually thinking of something like the Train badge, but with the requirement of having different songs (no repeats) with a certain theme instead of the same song. Would that work?

I think some themes may be a bit subjective, like shonen (unless it has to be anime songs from series officially labeled as shonen), but I guess themes like same composer/producer or same anime series or same singer would be alright.

Would it be a repeatable event? I don't really want to limit it to one day. And would there be separate badges for each theme?

Also, another issue will be making the badges for the themes. I honestly don't have time right now to make more badges, especially since I have to finish up the monthly theme and the blind duets and summertime record badges. I don't really want to have another event but then not have the badge for it.

What do you mean by repeatable? Like people can do it more than once (if so maybe each time their badge can just say like "Level 1", "level 2", etc? Maybe it could just be a vague, kinda catchall "Series Badge" (but of course probably a better-sounding name like "series snatcher" or something cooler) or something?

And take your time of course and don't stress, sempai, go at your own pace, this doesn't have to be right away 

It's like the Raidcall Train. The event can happen multiple times. ^^b For example, with the Train badge, it can be started any time. As long as there are people who keep it going, they can get the badge. So like, if we do a Shounen Anime theme badge, does this mean that this is a theme that can happen multiple times so people have many chances to get the badge, or is it a one-time thing?

@Aerlith: I think it would be too hard for you to make a badge per theme. I was thinking something like what Phan suggested, a catch-all. Although, I suppose there could be separate badges for, say, same series genre, same series, same singer, etc.

Also, you could just not introduce all the badges at the same time, since you are busy.

I think the badges can be acquired from more than one event, if the themes aren't too specific.

As long as it's something that can be repeated and not exclusive to a certain day or time, I wouldn't mind doing something like that. The catch-all isn't a bad idea either.

Anyway, I suppose that can be an event for the future, but for now, I am not going to be making it an event. If people want to start doing it, they can, but they will not receive credit for it. ^^; They will have to wait until the badge is out for that to happen. I don't really want to have another event out where we don't have the badge for it yet.

The length of the Train badge has been changed to fifteen times instead of twenty times.

Also, please don't forget. The Train badges requires an INDIVIDUAL SONG to be repeated fifteen songs. We currently do NOT have the series/producer badge out yet!
