I'm pretty sure I'm the only one newb enough to make this mistake but... Ok I use audacity (because I'm cheap. Actually i had adobe audition awhile ago but I'm too technically challenged...). The default saving on my computer is 128kps. It's fine for saving regular stuff but as soon as I add effects, reverb etc. the quality gets all messed up. Like choppy. I was wondering why my new cover song (it's in my sig btw. 8D shameless self advertisement *ahem*) wasn't sounding as good as when I recorded. And it makes me so sad because I don't want to reupload it/lose views/comments. It's not SUCH a big deal because you only notice the difference if you are listening listening (also depends on how good your headset is). But it's in a singer's ego to deliver the best piece of work as possible.

SOOOO tl;dr? Pretty sure everyone isn't stooopid like me but make sure to save it in 320kps!

Yeah, the higher rate you save it at, the better the sound quality will be but of course the file size will be bigger as well, so you should keep that in mind. :D

If you want the ABSOLUTE BEST QUALITY then you'd rather be saving in a lossless format like .wav instead of a lossy format like .mp3. Except they're massive and 99% of the people who listen to it probably won't notice or care about the difference. :p
